We understand that some projects require more than just music. Sound design covers most of the other elements that can combine to create a finished soundtrack. Elements such as buildups, stings and transition effects can enhance and change the perception and emotional impact of a project.
Most film and television projects we work on include both music composition and sound design – mainly working from visual cues in supplied video footage. In other multimedia platforms, such as computer games and computer software, it may be neccessary to create unique sound effects to create a ‘signature sound’ for your project.
Our typical process for sound design is for the customer to provide us a detailed brief (along with any footage where appropriate.) We then create a few rough examples from which the client can give feedback before we complete the final audio material.
Pricing is dependent on the length of material and its complexity since every project is unique however we are able to work to an agreed maximum budget. At the top end of our pricing structure we can create audio to video footage using visual cues as a guide to create a completely unique soundtrack that underscores the image. Another option would be to create a soundtrack based on a brief supplied by the customer with details of the style, mood and pace of the project. The least expensive option is to license an existing composition to use with the project from our soundbank of pre-composed material. For more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
